In Plain English
This extension detects when you visit a Shopify store and displays its URL in a bubble notification. It doesn't collect any data about you, your browsing history, or where you go. Your privacy is completely protected.
Overview
Shopify URL Finder is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension operates entirely on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you or your browsing habits.
Data Collection
We do NOT collect any personal data about you.
What We Store Locally
The extension stores only the following data in your browser's local storage:
Site Preferences
- Which websites you've chosen to disable the extension on
- Your preferred click behavior settings (if configured)
- This data never leaves your browser
That's it. No browsing history, no personal information, no tracking, no analytics.
How It Works (Privacy-First)
When you visit a website, the extension:
1. Checks if it's a Shopify store
The extension scans the current page to see if it's hosted on Shopify infrastructure.
2. Displays the Shopify URL (if applicable)
If the store is Shopify-hosted, it shows you the Shopify URL in a small bubble in the top-right corner.
3. Everything stays local
All detection happens on your device. We don't send any information to external servers.
No Data Transmission: The extension doesn't make requests to our servers or any third-party service to detect Shopify stores. Everything is self-contained.
Third-Party Services
This extension does NOT use any third-party services or APIs.
Unlike many extensions, Shopify URL Finder is completely self-contained. It doesn't rely on external APIs, analytics services, or any other third-party integrations. There's nothing to compromise your privacy.
