Privacy Policy

ChurnyLast Updated: July 14, 2026

In Plain English

Churny helps you get the most out of your credit cards and their benefits. We store your account details and the card and benefit information you enter so we can give you personalized recommendations. We never sell your data, and we don't collect full card numbers, PINs, or online banking credentials.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Churny ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and app to track and maximize your credit cards and their benefits. By creating an account or using Churny, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, plus basic usage data:

Account information

Your name and email address when you sign up, and your password (stored as a secure hash — we never store it in plain text).

Card and benefits information

Which credit cards you hold, their annual fees and renewal dates, and the benefits, credits, and rewards categories attached to them, so we can recommend which card to use and remind you to use benefits before they expire.

Usage data

Basic analytics about how you use the app (pages visited, features used) so we can improve Churny.

We do NOT collect full credit card numbers, CVVs, PINs, Social Security numbers, or your online banking username/password. Churny is not a bank-linking or transaction tracking tool.

How we use your information

  • To show which of your cards to use for a given purchase category.
  • To track annual fees, renewal dates, and benefit expiration windows.
  • To send reminders about unused benefits or upcoming renewals, if you opt in.
  • To maintain your account and provide customer support.
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

We do NOT sell your data, and we do NOT use it for third-party advertising.

Data sharing

We use trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and email delivery) to operate Churny. These providers process data only on our behalf under confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the safety and security of our users.

How we protect your data

Your data is stored securely in the cloud and protected using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. Access to production data is limited to what's needed to operate and support the app.

Your choices & rights

  • View, edit, or remove your cards and benefit records at any time in the app.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data via our data deletion form or by emailing support@zevops.dev.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including access, correction, and deletion of your data.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data from our active systems, typically within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Churny is intended for adults managing their own credit cards and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.

Financial disclaimer

Churny provides general information to help you track and use your own credit card benefits. It is not a bank, card issuer, or financial advisor, and its recommendations are not financial advice. Always confirm current terms with your card issuer.
