Frequently asked questions
How does Dosi calculate the recommended dose?
Dosi uses standard, published age- and weight-based dosing charts for common children's medications like acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Add your child's weight and age in their profile for the most accurate guidance. When a child falls outside the safe range, Dosi shows a clear “ask a doctor” warning instead of a dose.
Does Dosi keep me from double-dosing?
Yes. Maximum daily dose limits are built in, and your home screen shows exactly what’s next — which medicine, how much, and when it’s due — plus a running log of today’s doses so you can always see who took what, when.
Can I track more than one child?
Absolutely. Add a profile for each child and track doses, history, and cabinet items separately for everyone in your family.
How do I share a dose with another caregiver?
From the home screen, tap Share on the upcoming dose to send it to a partner, babysitter, or grandparent — so everyone stays on the same page during a handoff and no dose is missed or repeated.
Can I get a report for my pediatrician?
Yes. On the History screen, tap Report to generate a clean summary of recorded doses. You can filter by 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, or all time, and switch between list and calendar views.
Is my family’s data private?
Your family’s health data is treated as sensitive and private. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is stored and how it is protected. You can also choose to continue without an account, in which case your data stays on your device only.
Is Dosi a substitute for medical advice?
No. Dosi provides general dosing reference information and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a pediatrician or pharmacist with questions about your child’s medication.
